Never Defeated

Never Defeated
Originally uploaded by Paedur.
My friend Jon. I'll say one thing about him, he never gets defeated by anything. No task is to great for this man. As said picture. Let's break it down.

Frame 1 - Well, it takes the Jon many hours searching for the right rock. He likes Rocks. To quote Jon. "Rock pretty."

Frame 2 - Look at the concentration on his face. Determination!

Frame 3 - He didn't swing at the rock this time. He was amazed that it was floating there.

Frame 4 - Swing Batter, SWING!

Frame 5 - Time to find a other pretty rock to bash.

Frame 6 - Again, look at the determination on that face. Pure focus.

Frame 7 - Finally! After editting many hours of pictures, I am proud to bring you this quick collage of images of Jon defeating the rock with a stick! Way to GO, Jon! You are a Champ.

Frame 8 - Jon tired now.

Doesn't mean it's TRUE!

One of the more annoying things I find about the Internet, and the people who use it, is this.

They think because there is a website on a subject, or you get a email about it, that it's true.

Case and point. Many of you may be getting a set of pictures of deep sea creatures found on beaches after the dreadful tsunami.

This is not real. They were not washed up on shore. But, people believe the email? Why? Because someone you know sent it? I've heard people talk about this picture at work, and they seem so disheartened when I tell them the truth. BUT, it's NOT REAL!

As a side note, that picture came from a Deep sea project of June 2003. It has nothing to do with the Tsunami.

George R. R. Martin

" said that I hoped to have the book done by the end of the year. Famous last words. No, it's not done, though I am getting closer. I have more than thirteen hundred pages in final draft form and another hundred or so in roughs or fragments, but there are still some chapters yet to write. I'm telling myself that I'm on the home stretch. As soon as FEAST as done, I will announce it here. "

Well, this is more or less for Sean and I. Home stretch? Can we truly hope. If it does get publish, what then? Do we read it, or wait a other bajillion years?

Calling in sick..

Well, I finally did it.. I called in sick, and the ironic thing is...I am sick.

That's all, I just want sympanthy now.

In Number, this is one for every life which ever was,
or ever will be,
And like most lives they wait, for a moment, The Moment.
When we'll be sent on it's journey back towards the yellow Sun.
...
Approaching the Sun, brings definitive change...
We will never again be the same.
Peering in our skies it is believed to be the prophecy of extraordinary events...
...the birth of Kings,
...the death of Empires,

After Centuries, or Millennia, the Journey must end.
Perhaps smothered by it's own dust,
the dark, soulless body continues eternally through space and time,
It may disintegrate and crumble into inconsequential rubble,
or may be lost forever, crashing, burning, into the yellow Sun...

And tonight as I look into the sky and it looks back on me,
I want to know, which am I?
I need to know, is this the Beginning of the Journey,
... or the End...
