Coconut Milkshake. Let the Party Begin.
For about 7 years, I had the distinct..umm, experience of working with a gentleman named Alex.
Recently, he quit. Onto bigger and better things for that guy..
And, over the years, Alex has irratated the hell out of me, and oddly enough, I'll still miss him. He was unique. And, he did make me laugh, despite my "Grumpish" attitude. He was also the first person to make me feel welcomed at Costco. I was standing there, waiting for the interview when he approached me, and said "Hi. You going for the majors job." So, here I leave a few memories of Alex.
1 - His Sailor Moon Dance. Don't ask more, but, man, it'd made me laugh so hard.
2 - Shirts. Again, they made me laugh. I remember the first time he wore his cocaine cowboy shirt. I could barely look at him without laughing.
3 - Our mutual love of all Pop Bands UK. Espically S-Club 7, and Steps. Hannah.. MmmmM.. Rachel.. MMmmmMmmm..
4 - "Hey, what's this plastic stuff around the switch, Mike?" "I dunno.." ZAP! "Umm.. it was like that when they gave it to us."
5 - 'Non' and 'Oui'. This mean, No and Yes in French, Alex. Never ever hit Oui on a Digital Camera again!
6 - Blogging a entry from work (See top right picture) with our crazy boss Melynda nearby, and some manager.
7 - Chain Saw comment from him and Lisa. Shudder.
8 - "Alex, you look tired." "I played QUAKE all night, Mike. I am sooooo tired."
9 - "I told Gary I had math class on Tues night, but, it was to watch Buffy instead." Me: "What!?!?!?!!?!?"
10 - Checking out the ladies..
And finally, the one that will live forever..
"Well, Mike, a AMR slot is this new type...." Yeah, right.. ;)
Alot of other memories...but... enough.. :)
G'luck Alex!!
Well, follow this link, and see whose laughing now!
I am so glad I have my shelter ready and stocked!
Here are a few tips for you non-believers I've found off the net.
1. Organize before they rise!
2. They feel no fear, why should you?
3. Use your head: cut off theirs.
4. Blades don’t need reloading. (A Espically good point! Buy a Sword!)
5. Ideal protection = tight clothes, short hair.
6. Get up the staircase, then destroy it. (Grenades are espically fun!)
7. Get out of the car, get onto the bike. (Dunno about this one..)
8. Keep moving, keep low, keep quiet, keep alert!
9. No place is safe, only safer. (How many times has someone said, "It's safe here!")
10. The zombie may be gone, but the threat lives on. (Never FORGET! NEVER!)
It's cause I care I tell you this.
So, a good friend of mine has published a book. Or is at least in the process of publishing it.
It's called "Tales of the Motherboard." Yes, you've probably visited his blog from here.
Well, first off, I think it's frickin' cool that he has published a book. Everyone knows how much I love books.
Second, I think this book will be a great way to see how the 'Net has evovled, and his tales to be on it. Follow the link to see his blog, and find out more about the book.
Here is a small excerpt from the book. It's still in a rough draft, but, if you were from that time, it's frickin' funny!
"There's something very disconcerting about being one of about 4 or 5 people in a pool hall full of 40 or 50 that doesn't think he's a vampire. In those days there was some unexplained connection between analogue communications and the undead. The simple fact was that most modemers thought they were vampires. I have no idea why. It got to the point where I could spot a user meet from 6 city blocks away. The seething mass of dark leather trench coats, false fang teeth bought from the back of American magazines, and the stench of newly applied black nail polish served as warning to all that the geeks were congregating. And, while you may not be exactly scared of them, you probably wanted to steer clear for health reasons." -Tales of the Motherboard, Jon Watson.
Well, leave it to Family Guy to have some oddiest looking toys.
Yes, introducing the S&M Peter and Lois.
And, yes, I am going to buy them. :)
Also, remember, May 1st begins the all new season of Family after cancellation.

To see..
Dawn of the Dead! For those who don't know me, I am this fear of Zombie movies. Why? Who knows.. I've never a Zombie was wasnt polite, and I've worked with more than a few. Anyways, I think it's the eating of human flesh, and that entire society has collapses, and it's pure chaos. I like order. So, the Dawn of the Dead movies are like... the worse for me. Plus, in the remake, the lil f(#*(%# can run!
Yes, me, who is terrified of the living impaired decided to watch it this fine Saturday night.
Why? It was on Movie Central Shadowlane, and I could not help but to at least take a peek at it.
So I saw it. Was I terrified? Hardly. Did I like it? Eh, it was alright. I think Shaun of the Dead was a much better movie, and it had a few scenes in that one that scared me more.
Plus, Shaun of the Dead is dam funny at all the right times. One part in this movie that I thought was funny was when the group of surivors are being chased by the zombies into the elevator. The door closes, and the one dude says, "I like this song."
Few gross scenes, but, I think my imangination scared me more than this movie.
Side notes, one is that I may be switching this blog over to tabulas, which is where Tales of the Motherboard is. Also, thanks to Jon, you can all just type in www.hmph.ca to find my blog. :) And rest assured, I will continue to follow the career of Jessica Alba. ;)
Well, I've been a little sick for the last few days, so, I'm been surfing the Net. So, here are some links to play!
Classic Games - This website offers a few older games, like Pac Man, Tetris, Asteriods and a few others. Great site if you just want to kill a bit of time. Brings back a few memories of dumping quarters into Asteriods.
Hapland - Found this at a friend's Blog, and it's rather addictive lil puzzle game. Hope to see a other level soon.
And finally, this is a link of a guy lip syncing a song. A geek, and, I dont think I've ever felt prouder to be part of the geekhood. And, if you are reading this, don't fool yourself, you too are a geek.
Unless you thought it was a plastic sheathe to protect your Banana from damage.
Yes. It truly is. You can find it here.
My god, so much I could say about this.
